Nice guy to deal with, fast delivery, does exactly what he says on the site.

Hi Aaron

Look forward to receiving the lure I purchased from your site, I am currently trying to collect at least one of each type of Hardy Lure, from the early 1920,s onwards. The earlier ones are now becoming harder to source and are getting more expensive. have over 20 so far target is about mid 70's so should be collecting for years to come, will visit your site regularly to see what is on offer. Great site.

Interesting website. Found a Malloch's reel  to give my next door neighbour an idea of what they are worth but no Illingworth number 1/2  which I have in my possession.

Thanks.

Hello

Nice site but I've given up trying to read the black print against the blue water

background on the Hardy reels section

The white print of the first half of items was a joy to read

I'll come back tp read the otehr half when it is in white print

Hope this is taken in spirit meant   i.e. not a criticism of the site  - just a suggestion for improvement

Regards

Hello,

I am looking for a vintage Partridge of Redditch bamboo fly rod 7' - 8 ', 4 weight. If you know of something somewhere would you please contact me. I live in Los Angeles and obviously vintage rods by P & R are now that common.

I thank you in advance.

Hi Aaron... great website. Iam considering a purchase (hr077). Do you have any history relating to this reel. Iam a resident of Pangbourne with a small collection of Hardys and by chance happen to know the current owners of the house !. It could be interesting if you have any detail or provenance.
Also some time ago I purchased one of the special edition 3" perfect reels. It was no 36 and made on the 24 november 1977 by CS Norris. I have the box-the leather block case and the reel ...all mint. Ive not seen one anywhere. Any idea of its current value and tradeability ?. Thank you in anticipation of a reply.
KJC.

Good afternoon Aaron,
I wish I had found your site earlier for you obviously love your vintage tackle. I have just placed on Ebay ( No. 280298670658) a Hardys Angling Knife that at the moment is standing at £206. I would have gladly sold it to you had I found you. I have enjoyed looking at your tackle and will do so again. I have to add that whilst I still fish (at 78) I do not collect but still enjoy looking.
Good luck with your hobby/business.
Dennis Leigh.

I own 4 Hardy reels and am wondering if they have any value. All were purchased in the early 1970,s new. 2 "The Silex" reels --one" Marquis Salmon #2. one "Longstone" The last two were used for Salmon fishing in salt water so show some corrosion and wear and tear. One of the Silex reels was used daily in fresh water and shows wear, the 2nd is in mint shape as it was a back up "in case" I have vinyl cases for all of them and the card board box for the "marquis"
