BRAND NEW ABEL #2 PLIERS WITH USA "STARS & STRIPES" ANODIZED FINISH.  They are in new condition, never used and come with the beautiful Abel leather sheath and lanyard, Abel pliers are machined (not cast) from solid bar stock aircraft grade aluminum.  One side of the handle has milled notches to give you grip, the replaceable jaws/cutters are machined from tool steel, these jaws are made in four distinct sections, the tips are for pinching down barbs on flies or lures; the serrated section is for grabbing and removing hooks; the flat part, between the serrations and the cutter is for holding the tag end of lines while constructing leaders and tying knots; cutters are for cutting wire and mono. Abel pliers have been shop-tested for over 1,000 cuts of 80-pound test Monel (stainless steel) wire and 100 cuts of 250-pound Nylon-coated braided wire and after that, they still cut 7x mono, weighing 2.9 ounces and 5.5 inches long.  Great for all saltwater fishing/rigging. RARE TBS 312 ANTI-REVERSE 3 1/2" LIGHT SALMON / STEELHEAD REEL in very good condition and in full working order, I have no idea where or who made this reel, it has been suggested that it was made in Conneticut by Larry Kennedy but this is still to be confirmed (any additional information will be gratefully received) dare I say it but it looks like a reel that Ari Hart has had his hand in, it is one of those reels that I will not be in a hurry to sell as I am hoping to try it out in British Columbia later this year as the drag system is awesome!!! and I am fed-up with losing the skin off my knuckles with my conventional salmon reels that I use! Size: 3,5 in diam., 1,5 in. wide, weight 314 grams, the small lever on the back when lifted and turned puts the reel into free spool, which makes letting line out very simple.
